Bacillus subtilis is a beneficial, naturally occurring rhizobacterium used as a bio-fungicide and bio-control agent in sustainable agriculture. After application to soil or roots, it rapidly colonizes the rhizosphere (root zone), forms a protective microbial shield, and suppresses soil-borne pathogens through competitive exclusion and natural antimicrobial metabolites.
It also induces systemic resistance (ISR) in plants—activating the plant’s own defense system—while promoting stronger root growth, better nutrient uptake, and overall crop vigor.
